Following on from our previous report, which informed you that the Apple Store is currently down due to heavy traffic for iPhone 4 pre-orders, we can still confirm that the device is available to pre-order online from AT&T’s website.
If you head to their website here, you’ll be able to see that the device is available to order in time for June 24th, priced at $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 32GB. As we also confirmed earlier, only the black model is available at the moment, as Apple states the white model is currently unavailable at the moment.
However, to those of you who are planning to pre-order from AT&T you may not know that a deadline has been set in place. AT&T warns customers who pre-order after 2PM ET on June 22nd may not receive their handset by the June 24th launch date.
Furthermore, they state that all orders placed online are subject to a first come, first serve basis. Here is a portion of their statement issued to customers:
”The actual shipment date and receipt of your order is not guaranteed and may be subject to delays for reasons that include, but are not limited to, product availability, inventory, credit issues, number porting or carrier delays, and completion of other required AT&T business processes.”
So, if you were thinking of holding back a few days before you commit – we advise you not to. Head to AT&T’s website now and pre-order before they sell out.
