iPad Pro 2014 with 4K display may silence haters

We have the latest rumors on the 2014 iPad Air ‘Pro’ to give you now as it appears that it really could be on the cards as an iPad Air upgrade next year. After previously giving you some hints from the production line in Asia, we now hear exciting rumors on Apple’s plans to possibly offer 12.9-inch iPads with 4K display resolutions.

Apple perhaps need to reinvent the iPad next year after losing some ground to Nexus-based tablets. What better way to do this though by unleashing an iPad that measures 12.9-inch in size. That is basically the same display size as a 13-inch MacBook Air which is madness, but we’ve had feedback from many of you who are saying that you would love this as an alternative to 9.7 and 7.9-inch models.

This week, new whispers are emerging from China suggesting that Apple has two possible varieties of 12.9-inch iPad Pros in the works. The first is the standard iPad Pro with a 2K resolution, ie the same Retina resolution of 2048 x 1536 that is offered on the iPad Air.

However, another model that could be coming is a premium iPad Pro 4K model, which would boast double the pixel quality with a 4096 x 3072 – bringing the display quality to be on par with what some 4K TVs currently offer now, if you can believe that.

As we told you in another report though, we could be waiting until the end of 2014 until these bigger iPads reach the market. A 4K iPad would certainly send a message to the tablet world though and Apple’s competitors.

Do you think this could happen – a 4K tablet, seriously? Give us your thoughts below as we await more information on this.
