iPad 4 cellular notices sent

There has been an element of confusion among initial iPad 4 buyers, as to when they will be receiving their new LTE model from Apple after numerous setbacks to estimated shipping times. The 4G LTE iPad 4 with a Retina Display is in huge demand, but you’ll be pleased to know that we now have some positive information for those that managed to pre-order one on day one.

Right now, if you head to the US Apple Store, you’ll be greeted with the rather unfortunate message that all new iPad 4 cellular purchases require a minimum of 7 business days shipping time. That means if you were to order the 16GB cellular iPad 4 now for $629, you will have to wait until around November 20 or November 21 to have it delivered to your door.

However, if you managed to order an LTE model on November 2, you’ll be pleased to hear that Apple are on course to ship them around two weeks later as originally promised by the company. A shipping notice sent to 9to5Mac confirms that for one customer in particular, their iPad 4 model is due to be delivered on November 16, meaning that they will be very happy indeed to be opening up one of the first iPad 4 LTE models by the end of this week.

Unfortunately, the sporadic nature of Apple’s shipping times are there to be seen on the company’s website, as consumers who order a cellular iPad Mini today are being met with estimated shipping times of two weeks, which is hardly appealing for all new buyers looking to take one home as soon as possible.

Have you been lucky with a recent shipping notice from Apple, informing you that your iPad 4 LTE or iPad Mini LTE is going to ship by the end of the week like the fortunate consumer above? Are the extended shipping times forcing you to consider a Nexus 10 or 32GB Nexus 7 as an alternative?
