iPad 2 jailbreak: Chronic Dev Team drop hints on release date eta

We have some great news for the thousands of you that are patiently waiting for a working iPad 2 jailbreak, as we have just been given an update on progress by the Chronic Dev Team, who you may remember were responsible for bringing the GreenPois0n jailbreak to the iPhone.

They have posted an update on their website, revealing a hidden message if you like that they have solved a potential stumbling block in figuring out how to jailbreak the iPad 2, the only Apple device yet to be unlocked.

Unfortunately, they still don’t have an estimated release date eta for when the jailbreak will be available, but their message alone seems to suggest that it’s just around the corner. On a side note, there is no update from Geohot yet, as you may remember us informing you that he had ‘accepted’ a challenge to be the first person to jailbreak the device before the likes of the iPhone and Chronic Dev Teams.

Are you still holding out for a jailbreak solution for your iPad 2? Do you think Chronic Dev Team will be the first guys to do it, or do you still believe Geohot will surprise us all with a release? We’ll let you know when there are any further updates on this.
