We have some important news for those of you who are desperately trying to get your hands on an new iPad 2. Apple has again updated their online store with new availability estimations, and it looks like you’re going to have to wait quite a while to get one.
We all knew that demand for the iPad 2 was sky high going into the March 11 launch date, but just a few days on and it looks like stock are selling out, with Apple updating their website to display a 5 week wait for all new shipping orders.
If you head to their online store here, you’ll see that they have placed 4-5 week shipping targets for all iPad 2 varieties, which includes the white iPad 2 as well in case you’re wondering. Are you feeling a little frustrated that you chose not to queue up to get one from stores?
As we mentioned in an earlier report, sales for the iPad have now passed the 1 million mark over the weekend, although we’re yet to hear any official sales figures from Apple yet. You can bet that they’ll reserve a small portion of their WWDC 2011 event though to tell us just how well exactly, the iPad 2 has faired.
