iOS4 Multitasking: Twitter Adds Support

Those who used to use Tweetie will now know that it is called Twitter for iPhone. We can now tell you that there is an update out for this app — one that fully supports multitasking for iOS4. Not only that, this new version will be able to take full benefit from the Retina Display on the new iPhone 4.

Stan Schroeder from Mashable knows that developers will be working hard to get theses update out to take full advantage of the new mobile OS and iPhone — but none of them are as important as Twitter. The reason for this is because Twitter users have been moaning for ages that they wanted the app to run in the background.

There is a host of new features for the Twitter for iPhone app, such as the stuck top tweets” bug, photo/video posting amongst others. That’s all the details we have on this application update — if you have already downloaded the update please let us know how well it performs.
