iOS 9.2 beta 2 with useful AT&T feature for free

iOS 9.2 beta 2 is now live and available for developers to download, and while it comes with a few improvements, the most notable feature is free AT&T WiFi calling. We do find it funny that some people have already jumped on the bandwagon to ask what the catch is, as they are not used to AT&T giving them something for free.

Some people believe that AT&T will now be able to justify a rate hike on plans at a later date, while others suggest that less traffic being used on the AT&T cell network will be more profit for them.

Users can currently use Apple Continuity, which allows them to use their iPad, iPod touch or Mac to make phone calls, although they need to be connected to the same WiFi network as their iPhone. Once iOS 9.2 is released, which we don’t yet have a release date for, users will then be able to make WiFi enable calls and not be tied to that same network.

The process to activate this feature once you have downloaded iOS 9.2 beta 2 is a bit of a process, which 9To5 Mac has detailed to make life a little easier for you.

However, we would suggest that you also download OS X 10.11.2 beta 2 to make certain the feature will work for you.
