iOS 8 rumors for iPad Air 2, Mini 3

With the WWDC 2014 start date just around the corner, all eyes are on Apple to see what new announcements they have to show to the world. We are not expecting to see new hardware at the device, but as usual it looks like Apple may use their annual event to publicly reveal iOS 8 for the first time.

We are now used to seeing a brand new version of Apple’s mobile software every year and as a result iOS 8 has become a big topic of interest in the last few weeks.

The exciting thing this year, is that full details of iOS 8 are not really known and we haven’t seen the sheer amount of leaks as we saw in the build up to the reveal of iOS 7.

Consumers are obviously expecting big things from Apple, especially with Android threatening to dominate as their feature list gets bigger and bigger. One big request that is on the cards is an improvement to multitasking on iOS 8 with calls for Apple to offer something better to consumers other than the double tap function.

Most will agree that multitasking on iOS can be improved upon and one great way in which Apple can do this has been demonstrated in the video that we have for you below. The idea of joining two apps together and forming a multi-window is still not available on iOS.

We have seen this feature already for many months on Android and particularly on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, but Apple should really consider it for their own users now.

Take a look at the polished clip and let us know if you agree that multitasking is one area that can be looked at in iOS 8. With the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 potentially on the way later this year running iOS 8, what other new software features would you like to see?
