While we do not know the iOS 8 download time, we do know that it will go live at some stage tomorrow, and once you have installed the latest update (hoping there are no server issues) it is then that you will be inundated with app updates.
iOS 8 optimized apps incoming — It doesn’t normally take long after installing a new version of iOS that you begin to see updates appear for apps you currently have installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
We have no idea what apps will start to receive updates first, but one would presume that it would be some of the bigger ones, such as Facebook, Messenger, Snapchat to name a few.
Developers have already been submitting their iOS apps for review, although many of them already had a head start and have been tweaking them over the past month or two. However, Mac Rumors reports that some app developers have been having a few issues getting their apps to work with iOS 8, and so they might start to feel the pressure soon, especially as there is less than a day before iOS 8 goes live.
What apps do you hope will be optimized for iOS 8 tomorrow, and how do you think they will look once you take possession of your shiny new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus on Friday?
We have to wonder how long after tomorrow will it be before iOS 8.0.1 is released, along with 8.0.2, and 8.0.3, seeing as though we know for certain that there will be many problems with tomorrow’s update?
