iOS 8 needs stop text messages

Ever since Apple released its software for the iPhone it has always lacked one key feature — well several if you are an Android fan — and that is the ability to stop text messages. We have lost count on how many times we have wrote a text message to someone, only to find that Auto Correct mixed up a few words, or you noticed it was being sent to the wrong person, in which time it was too late.

This issue has been going on for so long that you would have assumed Apple would have been on top of it by now. It is for this very reason why we feel iOS 8 needs the capability to be able to stop sending a text message before it gets sent.

App that stop sending texts and iMessage — There are some apps on the App Store that claim to be able to delay a message being sent, which means that you have time to stop it from being sent if you need to. However, none of these really work and so we would advise that you don’t download and install these apps.

Already a way to stop a message being sent — Over the years there have been many people offering advice on ways to stop a text being sent, two of which include the lock button. One way is to press the lock button once as the message is sending, while the other is to hold it down until the iPhone turns off. As you already know, neither of these work.

iOS users don’t ask for much and over the years have been very patient when it comes to waiting for features, some of which have been on Android devices for several years now. Do you really think Apple will listen and finally release iOS 8 with a stop text feature?

Speaking of iOS 8, there is a fear that it could look even more spartan because Jony Ive is to take even more responsibility in the design department for iOS 8.
