iOS 8.3 Emoji with ‘Simpsons’ complaints

After months of waiting, iOS 8.3 is now out of beta and has gone live for iPhone and iPad devices on Wednesday. The big talking point right now, is the iOS 8.3 Emoji keyboard with many users taking to social media to complain about their new Emojis on iOS 8.3 looking like the ‘Simpsons’.

With iOS 8.3, iOS users now have the opportunity to give their Emojis some personalization. This includes changing the color of the icons to yellow and as you can imagine – many are making similarities to the Simpsons characters.

Apple surely must have known that this would happen, but either way it’s a purely optional feature and you don’t have to use the colors if you don’t want to.

People are taking it in good humor though, demanding to know which person inside of Apple made the decision to offer yellow Emojis in iOS 8.3.

You can see from the images below what the new Emojis look like. For those asking how to turn on the new Emojis in iOs 8.3, simply go to Settings>General > Keyboards > Keyboards > and then >Add New Keyboard.

From there, hold your finger down on the Emoji keyboard in any app and you should see some alternative options. You can then choose your new colors for Emojis if it is available – it should be live across many supporting apps right now.

Give us your reaction to the new Emoji keyboard in iOS 8.3. Be honest, do you love it or hate it?
