iOS 7 beta 6, GM and public release schedule

With the release of iOS 7 beta 5 yesterday (which took some of you by surprise) we have now had to ask ourselves some questions as to when Apple will make the 6th and final beta available ahead of the Gold Master release?

If Apple was to get their 2-week schedule back on track then that would mean they would need to go back to Tuesdays, which is what they seem to have done yesterday. If this were the case then we could expect to see iOS 7 beta 6 on August 20, 2013. Things are certainly up in the air at the moment, as reported by Phones Review.

iOS 7 GM and public release schedule — Let’s say this is what will happen, then iOS 7 GM should be available on September 4 and then a public release on September 17. However, this last date could be questionable because that would mean it would be released about a week before the iPhone 5S.

The reason we say this is because iOS 6 was released just 2 days before the iPhone 5, and that would mean the 5S would be released on September 19.

While this may sound plausible, we have to remember Tim Cook stated several months ago that their next-gen devices would not be released until the fall, which as we know is September 21, but that’s a Saturday this year.

What do you think the release schedule will be for iOS 7 beta 6, the GM version and finally the public release?
