iOS 7 beta 4 release with Dev Center return

It is widely anticipated that the iOS 7 beta 4 release time will be within the next 24 hours, although there is one problem to this theory and that is the fact Apple’s Developer Center has been down for a couple of days. If the date for iOS 7 beta 4 will be July 22, then the Dev Center will need to return before the download can be accessed online.

We should note that developers with iOS 7 beta 3 installed might be able to access beta 4 over-the-air, and this is how the majority of developers upgraded with the past beta. This is obviously no good if you have an iPhone 5, 4S, iPad or another iOS device that needs to be registered before downloading the new iOS 7 beta 4 update. In this situation, developers will need access to the online portal.

The screenshot above has become well-known now to developers and we have also been contacted by a few. Some people are checking the Member Center link a few times every hour thanks to these people being part time developers needing access over the weekend, although others might not check again until Monday when iOS 7 beta 4 is expected to launch.

We have even had a few emails asking if we know of another Developer Center login, although members should know that there’s only the one and the whole system has been down for coming up to 3 days.

iOS 7 beta 4 release with Dev Center return — we have a feeling that the iOS 7 beta 4 download will arrive right around the time of the Dev Center return. This is just speculation, but it does raise questions as to why it is taking so long to bring the Developer Center back up?

All Apple has said is that it’s taking longer than they expected after maintenance, although this is a standard message when trying to login and not an official statement from Apple.

How many times are you checking per day to see if the Apple Developer Center is backup? Do you think iOS 7 beta 4 will release in the next 24 hours? With Apple stating it has over 6m developers worldwide and around 1.5m added in the last 12 months, there could be a lot of people trying to login to the online portal.
