iOS 7 animation and transparency and ten new features

All those rumors regarding a simpler iOS design were true, for the most part anyway. The fears that the design would look too flat were widely exaggerated, and from what we have seen so far, the new OS looks very pleasing on the eye. However, we can’t help notice that some of the new iOS 7 features have been available on Android for many years now.

Having said that, as always Apple likes to talk up their new products, and that’s just what they have done with iOS 7. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the new mobile OS, just to see what these new features do for the iPhone 5 battery life.

Looking at the video (here) you can get a sense of the new iOS 7 animation and transparency, which is one of many new changes for the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system. It doesn’t take long to see that this is the biggest change to iOS yet, but then they made similar bold statements last year with iOS 6, although I do believe they are right this time.

When you watched the keynote live you could hear a positive reaction from the audience in the room, so maybe Apple is on to something in 2013. Apple spoke about 10 new features that will make iOS 7 stand out against previous versions, and it all begins from the lock screen.

There are now far more features for you to access from the lock screen, and once you unlock your phone you are then met with what we can only describe as a eye pleasing home screen. However, what has really got our attention is the ability to access many of your phones functions just by swiping up, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Flight Mode, Air Drop, Air Play, and much more, which is all part of Control Center, one of the ten new features for iOS 7.

We could go on all day about the new changes, but it would be easier for you to watch the video from the link above, or visit Apple for some detailed images and a description of these new features and changes.
