iOS 7.1 Beta 4 update live, extends public release date

Towards the end of last year we had reason to believe that the public release of iOS 7.1 would be towards the end of January of this year. However, seeing as though the iOS 7.1 Beta 4 update has now gone live it sort of prolongs things a little.

Beta 3 only went live a couple of weeks ago, so Apple has ramped things up a bit, and so must be nearing the end of testing. For those who need to know this latest update has the build number 11D5134c.

We’re not too certain as to the new features of iOS 7.1 Beta 4 because it has only been made available for download in the past couple of hours. However, we can tell you that a bug with the messages is assumed to be fixed.

It is thought that other areas to have received some tweaks are to the CPU and system memory utilization, as well as some improvements to overall performance.

We just await the official iOS 7.1 release, although it is expected to be with us around March, so we don’t have too long to wait.
