iOS 4.3 Problems – Issues Encountered So Far

Apple recently made their iOS 4.3 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch public, now that people have had a chance to download and install this new iOS version we thought we would look at some of the problems people have been experiencing so far.

The good news is that on the whole we are hearing good things about the update, obviously a small minority of people will experience a few niggling issues, however a few minor problems spread across 10 of millions of people out there is not bad going.

One problem which we have heard about seems to be affecting music and sound apps, Hohner SqueezeBox‘s developers recently suggested that there seems to be a problem with audio clicks and pops which never existed on any previous iOS release.

Another sound-related problem has affected a GSM iPhone 4 owner, he suggests that since installing the update stopped various sound effects from working, such as lock sounds and keyboard clicks, he suggests that it is an Airplay-related bug, you can follow progress on this issue here.

If you have noticed that since installing the update the wrong album covers show up on some albums you are not alone, “robs89” talks about this issue on Apple Discussions, at one point he thought that deleting all of the music of his iPhone 4 and then re-syncing it fixed the problem, however the problem has occurred again since then.

In terms of error messages we have two to report (at the time of this post), one iOS 4.3 installer received an “error 1013” message when installing iOS 4.3 on his iPhone 4, this may be firewall related, a possible fix can be found here. Another person received a message saying “Unknown error occurred (2006)”, we looked around and this forum thread may be useful for you.

Finally we have heard a few reports of problems with the Twitter app crashing after installing iOS 4.3, we can’t confirm whether this is a common problem therefore try out the app and leave us a comment below, or you could perhaps test it by following me and tweeting this post.

We would love to hear from you to see if you are experiencing problems with your Apple device since installing iOS 4.3, therefore feel free to describe your problem in the comments section below, remember to tell us which device you are using.
