iOS 4.2 Update: Download On Friday – iTunes 10.1 Needed

We had two dates in mind for iOS 4.2, today and Friday. Well today is almost done and nothing, so that just leaves Friday November 12th, which Apple Insider is also backing up. However, they also reported that on Wednesday both Mac OS X 10.6.5 and iTunes 10.1 would be available for download. Also, you will need to download the new iTunes update for iOS 4.2.

The news came direct from AT&T via MacStories, but we have yet to receive any confirmation from Apple. I cannot tell you how many times I refreshed to see if an update would appear on iTunes for my iPhone 4 – I just want that damn alarm fixed.

This update is not the biggest, but is certainly a big deal for iPad owners; more on this can be read in our recent post. The idea of being able to use my wireless printer with my iPhone and stream music wirelessly to other devices connected on my network appeals to be a great deal.

Out of all the new features in iOS 4.2, which one are you looking forward to the most; I have told you the three that I am anxiously waiting for? Remember, when iTunes is ready to update tomorrow, do so otherwise you will not be able to download your update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
