With news of two possible release dates for iOS 4.2 (November 9th or November 12th), we have to wonder why this update does not have the huge attention from Apple as previous versions have? I know that it is not a huge deal for iPhone users like iOS 4 was, but this is a huge update for iPad owners.
You would have thought that Apple would have shouted iOS 4.2 update from the rooftops, as this will make their tablet device more suited to enterprise users. With recent news suggesting that many businesses have being abandoning RIM’s BlackBerry in favor of iOS and Android.
If this is true, then this does not look good for the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook, as we all know who the target audience will be. How come Apple does not sense a wounded animal and pounce, unless they will do once they decide to release details of the new iPad 2?
We recently discussed what features will appeal to business users, these will be multitasking, better emails and AirPrint. Come on Apple, this is a huge update for your tablet device; do not let it go unnoticed. What features are you looking forward to the most from this update?
