We have an update for those of you patiently waiting for Apple to release the highly anticipated update to iOS 4.2, as we can confirm that Apple has just pushed out a new GM update of iOS 4.2 for developers.
As reported from BGR, the update is officially known as iOS 4.2.1 Golden Master, and although we’re unsure of what has been fixed up exactly, you can presume that it has something to do with the WiFi issue which apparently stopped the global rollout of iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users.
If you have a developers subscription with Apple, you can download it from their dev center now and find out what the update does yourself. Considering that this is the second GM update for iOS 4.2, we’re hoping that there will not be any further delays until the update lands for real.
What are your thoughts on this latest GM update? We’ll let you know if we get any further details on iOS 4.2.1.
