While many Apple fans seem to be discussing the iPhone 7, they seem to have forgotten about something else that will be unveiled before then and that is iOS 10. The newer version of the mobile operating system will get its debut during the Worldwide Developers Conference later this year, and now there are some thoughts as to when the event could be held.
Potential dates for iOS 10 launch – It is no surprise that Apple has yet to announced the WWDC 2016 dates, but Mac Rumors has been looking at the scheduling information for June at the Moscone Center, and there only seems one likely gap in the schedule, and those are from June 13 to June 17.
There are a few other dates, but the gaps are not long enough for how long Apple usually likes to book the Moscone Center for their Developers Conference.
Those dates are not definitive, but they do seem like the only viable ones, and so there is a great certainly that iOS 10 could be unveiled on June 13, along with OS X 10.12.
What to expect – iOS 8 was a bit of a letdown to tell you the truth, and Apple really pulled out all the stops with iOS 9, although they are not yet finished bringing further improvements to the mobile OS. However, there is a great deal of excitement surrounding iOS 10, not only because we now go into double digits, but also the fact that the iPhone 7 will want to take advantage of advanced software, and the iPad Pro will be well established by then as well.
