We have good news and bad news now for those of you that have been waiting to hear more about an official release date for Saber Interactive’s upcoming third-person shooter Inversion. The good news is that the game has finally been given a confirmed release date, and the bad news is that it is not until 2012.
According to a recent gamingbolt.com article by Debabrata Nath, the sci-fi shooter is now scheduled to release on February 7th, 2012 and will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As some of you will know, Inversion was originally given a 2010 release window.
If (like me) you’d never even heard of the game up until now, an article by Andy Robinson over at computerandvideogames.com may help out a little. As Andy notes, the game sees world peace coming to an end thanks to an invasion by an enemy known as Lutadore.
Players will have to use a weapon called the Grappler, in order to manipulate gravity to overcome obstacles and during combat. You can view a few screenshots for the Inversion game via the CVG link. Alternatively, you can watch the teaser trailer via the gametrailers.com website.
