Instagram Stories update on iOS, Android

By now most of you will have heard about the ‘ground-breaking’ new Snapchat, sorry Instagram Stories feature, which went live hours ago on iOS and Android.

Now we have a quick heads-up on how to use Instagram Stories, as this is what most of you will probably be after, once you have installed the update.

Most of you should have it, as it started rolling out globally around 12 hours ago. Stories will essentially copy the feature from Snapchat, allowing you to personally check out clips from a person on your profile for 24 hours.

There’s some handy GIFs which we’ve picked out from TechCrunch which gives you a little preview, but there’s a full overview in the included video below showing exactly how to make Instagram Stories easily.

One of the best features of Stories is the ability to make an Instagram story and then hide it from people you don’t want to view it – like your boss or certain friends.

You can even doodle on Stories like Snapchat and new Story updates from favorite friends will appear at the top of your profile with a colored ring around to let you know a new Story is available.

Have you been making Instagram Stories through the night, or just woke up and currently loving the feature? Will you still use Snapchat after this, or not?
