Injustice DLC not finished yet, 6th character coming

We have some good news for those of you who are still regularly playing Injustice: Gods Among Us, the fighting game from the makers of Mortal Kombat. If you thought the recent DLC release of General Zod from Man of Steel was going to be the last, we have confirmation that even more DLC is planned for the game.

If you played Mortal Kombat and loved it, there’s a good chance that you are now playing Injustice as well. NetherRealm Studios appear to have another popular game on their hands and the good news is that it looks like DLC support is still set to continue throughout the year.

As announced at EVO 2013, the next character to be joining the game is the Martian Manhunter and he’ll be available to buy on July 30 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. To recap, that will be the 5th DLC fighter released so far, meaning that we have already surpassed what was originally the plan with 4 characters to be included as part of the Season Pass.

But there is going to be a 6th character as well. Ed Boon has been teasing on Twitter that the next character is going to be a ‘BIG fan favorite request’. There are no other clues yet, but plenty of feedback on who the mystery 6th DLC character could be.

If the developers have already put MK favorite Scorpion into the game, why not throw Sub-Zero in there as well just for fun? Then again, you could just play Mortal Kombat for that request, so perhaps NetherRealm Studios are again thinking outside the box for the next character.

Who would you like it to be? Hopefully we’ll find out soon.
