Incase MacBook Pro Retina cases, hardshell MIA

The new Apple MacBook Pro Retina model might be well and truly launched, but this doesn’t mean all accessory manufactures were ready to support the new Retina model right away. If you have been looking for the Incase hardshell for Retina MacBook Pro’s then you will be disappointed considering the only option states “not compatible“, although you’ll find plenty of sleeves and cases for the new Retina model.

You can see the Incase Terra Sleeve receiving an unboxing in the video below this article, which supports the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro. While this case is nothing to shout about it does fit fine and keeps the MacBook reasonably protected, but not to the level seen with hardshell options like in the image above.

MacBook Pro Retina cases from Incase — the only hardshell case we can find on Incase can be seen here, which works fine with the older MacBook Pro. We do expect an updated option soon but have not heard any dates from Incase at the time of writing. If you are happy with softer cases for your Retina MacBook Pro, then you have a massive choice. You can see a complete list of Retina supported cases here for the 15-inch model, and these range from plain colors to prints, and artistic sleeves to backpacks.

On a side note – if you wanted to purchase the new Retina MacBook Pro and had trouble with the shipping dates, then you will be happy with the news of delivery dates returning to around 1-2 weeks, which is not perfect but a lot better than they were.

Do you find the softer sleeves just fine for your MacBook Pro, or would the hardshell be the only case for you?
