Improve your English vocabulary: PowerVocab for iOS

A recently updated application which will help users improve their English vocabulary, is available free of charge for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

PowerVocab uses a new approach in studying foreign languages based on research from MIT Computer Science and Web Semantics Lab. This gives users the most useful ways to study English.

The application will give the user a personalized approach by learning which areas they need the most work on, and then focuses on that part of the curriculum.

Originally designed to work on GMAT, SAT, GRE vocabulary, the app is also good for studying English for personal improvement. With this app users can learn anywhere as it is like having your own personal tutor in your hand.

Features include; over 600 important English vocabulary words in the lite-version, each word has an antonym, synonym, sound and example sentence, and much more. Users of the application have awarded it some good reviews. The company is currently working on an Android version to be released around spring 2011.

PowerVocab Lite is available worldwide on the App Store free of charge. iOS 3.0 or later required.
