IIHS Top Safety Picks: Hyundai Genesis and Mercedes E-Class Sedan

One way to sell more vehicles is to earn yourself a IIHS Top Safety Pick award — this is exactly what the Hyundai Genesis and Mercedes E-Class Sedan has done. This Top Safety Pick award will give you more appeal to those who think about the safety of their passengers — such as families with children.

The Genesis is Hyundai’s flagship model and was introduced in 2009; the 2010 model has seen a slight improvement to its roof design — a reason for the improved crash ratings. The Top Safety Pick award for the Hyundai Genesis only applies to the 2010 model.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an old dog now as it has been around for decade, but with age comes experience and the E-Class sedan has plenty of that — a reason why it has achieved this top IIHS rating.

If you head over to Autoblog they have some high-resolution images of the crash tests along with the full crash test results.
