Ice Cream Sandwich date and time set, Nexus Prime unveiling?

Yesterday we told you about Google setting up the official Android Twitter page and finally revealed details regarding the Ice Cream Sandwich reveal – now we have thought about things we think it is very likely that the Nexus Prime will make an appearance at the press event – let’s face it the Nexus S was the first-ever Gingerbread smartphone – so we think the Nexus Prime will be the first-ever ICS device we ever see.

Details regarding the event are still very vague, all we know is that it will kick off on October 19th at 10.00am Hong Kong time and you will be able to watch it live at – at the bottom of this post we have embedded a table which lists the times and dates this equates to in different regions. Note In some regions the time falls on Tuesday 18th, whilst in other regions it takes place on Wednesday 19th.

To make things easy for you we have listed some of the time for the most popular regions: Los Angeles Tue 19:00, New York: Tue 22:00, London Wed 03:00, Barcelona Wed 04:00. We can’t promise that the Nexus Prime will show up, but we think it is extremely likely.

So why should you be so excited about the Nexus Prime? With roughly 4-5 days to wait until we finally find out all of the exciting information about Ice Cream Sandwich, we are sure that some details will leak pretty soon, hopefully we will hear that the Nexus Prime will make an appearance – if so, we can’t wait to see how it compares to the iPhone 4S. The competition between iOS and Android ensures that developers thrive to ensure their platform is better than the competitor, this ultimately means that consumers get better user experiences, and that’s what’s important!
