Whenever there is a recall we do like to keep our readers informed for their safety and peace of mind. It is for this reason why we have to report the recalling of the i4 Series System Sensor. It would seem that there is a possible defect, which could cause a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
There are around 1,450 of these detectors being recalled, and you will need to look out for model numbers COSMO-2W and COSMO-4W, which were manufactured between the dates 3rd of September to the 13th of September 2014.
If you still do not know if you have an affected model, these are round and white in color and measure 5.5 inches in diameter. If you look to the lower left-hand corner of the packaging you should see the date codes, which are 4091 or 4092.
You are asked to contact System Sensor customer service on (800) 736-7672 in order to obtain a free replacement unit. However, you are still asked to keep using the faulty units, as there is still the chance that there is nothing wrong.
For more details we ask that you visit the System Sensor website.
