We seem to be getting a lot of car recalls lately with recent ones for Honda, General Motors, and even Bentley. Today we have a new one to report to you as Hyundai is recalling around 140,000 Sonata models in the US.
According to the BBC News South Korea’s biggest car manufacturer is recalling the vehicles due to steering concerns. The recall is said to be just a precaution, and no incidents or accidents have been reported so far.
The Sonata is the car maker’s biggest selling model in the US accounting for 35% of Hyundai sales. The recall is for Sonata models manufactured since December 2009. The problem may lead to a loss or reduced steering, and the recall has been initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Owners should start getting recall notices in October, or they can contact Hyundai Customer Assistance on 1-800-633-5151.
