Up until now Hyundai has kept relatively quiet about their upcoming Equus flagship sedan, however today they final revealed details regarding design and technical specifications.
We can now confirm that the Equus will feature a V8 engine which produces 385-horsepower, in terms of drivetrain it will feature a 6-speed ZF automatic gearbox, prior to this rumors suggested that it may sport an 8 speed gearbox.
As with a lot of luxury sedans there are a couple of different models, the Signature is pretty standard, but you still get a leather interior, cruise control, an impressive 17-speaker sound-system, 19-inch chrome alloy wheels and some driver comforts such as a heated steering wheel and a massaging driver’s seat.
The Luxury model features all of the above, however you also get a rear-seat refrigerator, cooled rear seats, cameras on the front corners and an entertainment system which features an eight-inch LCD screen in the back.
A complete pricing breakdown has not yet been revealed, however the base-model should start at around $50,00, obviously the Luxury model will be far more expensive. As for availability it should launch during the fall this year.
