Hyundai and Nissan get top marks

Hyundai and Nissan have managed to secure the top spots in Consumer Reports recent test on a group of family sedans. The group consisted of Chevrolet’s Impala, Suzuki’s Kizashi, Hyundai’s Sonata and Nissan’s Altima.

With the Chevrolet Impala falling short of the mark only managing to to gain a ‘Good’ rating, due to its poor build quality, problematic transmission and disappointing fuel economy. The Suzuki was able to step one above with an ‘Excellent’ rating, although due to its short production time it was unable to give a reliability score.

So it was left down to the Hyundai and Nissan to romp to victory, even though scoring highly, the Altima suffered the same fate as the Suzuki in not being able to touch on the Sonata’s reliability. A ‘Recommended’ award went to the Altima in the end, but we’re sure that Hyundai and Nissan will be more than pleased with the result.
