There is just two days to go until Huawei reveals the P9 and a recent press image has got our curiosity juices flowing because of some writing seen on the rear of the handset with the letters Leica in bold.
We have known for a while that the Huawei P9 Leica camera will be one of the standout features, although it was not known for certain if this new partnership would be implemented in the upcoming P9 handset or a future model – so at least we now know.
Even though not much has been shared in terms of the Huawei P9 camera particulars, we do know that the image does confirm that the P9 will come with a dual-camera set up.
You have to assume that the camera technology being used will be impressive because Leica is well respected in the field- although not too certain how well they will make the transition to the smartphone?
We believe, or more like hope that the P9 will offer some impressive results from the camera when taking photos, especially as there is said to be an auto-focus system. Ok, so a lot of that comes down to software, but what good is software without decent hardware as a base?
As for the other specs, we suspect that the P9 will come with a 5.2-inch display, Kirin 955 SoC, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0.
