Huawei MediaPad X1 review with surprise

After giving you some details on one big tablet announced at MWC 2014 with the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, we move on to another. Huawei appears to have stolen a large chunk of the Barcelona limelight by announcing the very impressive looking Huawei MediaPad X1 tablet.

We told you about the tablet in a previous report here, echoing Huawei’s claims that we are now looking at the world’s thinnest 7-inch tablet. This is easily one of our favorite announcements at MWC and we have a feeling that the Huawei MediaPad X1 could go on to be a firm consumer favorite in 2014.

The design and build quality of the tablet is a joy to look at. We are seeing some comments on how Huawei has ‘copied’ the design of the iPad Mini from Apple, but we think it’s fair game and a fairly harsh choice of words against Huawei.

Running on Android Jelly Bean, the MediaPad X1 features a Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9, with 2GB of RAM and a whopping 13 megapixel camera.

The design and build is absolutely stunning..

Perhaps more importantly, we can tell you that this tablet has the ability to make calls as well – instantly proving an attractive proposition for consumers specifically looking for this dual functionality.

You can find a specs recap in the link above, but now we want to focus on Huawei MediaPad X1 reviews and what others are saying about this exciting new tablet.

We’ve added several videos for you to watch below. Take a look and let us know if you are already thinking of getting one – it’s available to buy before Summer 2014.

Do you find the ‘Huawai copied Apple’ remarks offensive?
