We have seen some Chinese companies copy Apple products and are very blatant with its design, but not the name. However, we are sure you will agree the Huawei Honor 6 Plus has taken things to the next level. Ok, so we know it looks more like an overgrown 5S, but we can’t help wonder what Apple will have to say, especially about its name.
The handset is the follow-up to the Honor 6, and so with improved features we can understand why they went for the Plus in the name. You would have thought Huawei would have come up with something more original to make it stand out against Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus — unless they wanted to attract people for this very reason?
Huawei Honor 6 Plus vs. iPhone 6 Plus — It is obvious that people will now be looking at the specs to see how these two smartphones compare, and while they share the same screen size and color options that is pretty much where the similarities end.
All about the rear-facing camera — Looking over the hardware thanks to Engadget, we can see a great emphasis has been put on the main camera. There is a dual rear-facing camera, both of which are 8-megapixel to offer greater image quality than the iPhone 6 with its 8-megapixel iSight camera. However, seeing as though they have not been put together in a hands-on review showdown, we will just have to wait and see on that one.
Processor wise, we have a Kirin 925 octa-core chipset compared to the A8 chip with 64-bit architecture, along with its M8 motion coprocessor. We know Huawei has made use of 3GB of RAM in its latest handset, although Apple never divulges how much system memory it uses, although we believe it to be just 1GB.
As you can see, these two smartphones are very different and to give you a better idea we have included two videos below, which we hope will help you see just how different they are.
