We have a bit of good news now for those of you that live in the UK and were waiting for the much-anticipated HTC Sensation to come to other UK carriers following its Vodafone exclusivity, as we’ve now heard that the Android-based handset is coming to the Carphone Warehouse.
According to an article by Desire Athow over on the itproportal.com website, Carphone Warehouse has now begun taking pre-orders for the HTC Sensation, with the release date down as June 20th. The handset is available for free from Orange when you sign a £40 a month, two-year contract.
Customers have a choice of either 500MB of data and 1200 minutes or 750MB of data and 900 minutes. Both options also come with unlimited text messages. The HTC Sensation — originally known as the HTC Pyramid — is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Other features include 1GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera with HD video capture, AF and flash, a front-facing camera for video calls and a 4.3-inch qHD display. The handset runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, along with the HTC Sense User Interface.
