The HTC Sensation has now been on the market for the best part of three weeks, and now a 4G version is about to land. With this is mind you have to say that this latest Android handset will be a formidable iPhone 5 competitor. Maybe this was the reason why Apple decided to delay the launch of their new smartphone, as they wanted to gauge how popular the new HTC handset was?
OK, so we do not think that this is the case, but it does make you wonder. The HTC Sensation only has one real competitor at the moment, and that is the Samsung Galaxy S2. Going back about three or four months we would have said the iPhone, but you have to remember that the device will be a year old at the end of the month.
IBT picks up on the fact that the likes of Motorola, HTC and Samsung are all having a field day, as they are taking complete advantage of the iPhone 5 delay — it’s like taking candy from a baby. However, they should not get too complacent, as Apple will be back with a vengeance.
We are not trying to say that the iPhone is the best handset in the world, but we all know that sales do not lie. Apple is already moving their chess pieces around; first they have announced iOS 5, then there are those new iCloud features. This is all leading up to the grand finale, and that is the launch of the iPhone 5, or whatever they decide to call the fifth-generation iPhone.
