HTC One Wear smartwatch, cues from M8, E8

When Apple launched the iPhone it kick started the smartphone market unlike any thing we had seen in years, then Apple defied the odds and did it again with the tablet market, so will Apple be able to repeat the success in the smartwatch market? The easy answer would have to be no because they have left it much later in the game than those two other markets, as there are several mobile tech giants who already have a head start.

However, 2014 does seem to be a bit of a turning point, as there are several new smartwatches coming to market including the LG G Watch, Moto 360, as well as the iWatch from Apple and another from Microsoft.

We already knew that HTC planned on getting in on the game, but has been a little quiet over the past few months, which means they have been working hard behind the scenes. This is because news has come to light about a device called the HTC One Wear and is thought to have a release around the summer, much like Microsoft’s smart watch.

HTC One Wear smartwatch design — The jury is still out on this one because while the source shows an image suggesting it to be round, the second image showing test software points to a rectangle face, so which is it to be?

Having said that, we can tell you that the HTC One Wear will be very much like the HTC One M8 and E8, which means we will have a premium model and an entry-level version.
