HTC One visual shows iPhone 5 similarities

If you thought that the BlackBerry Z10 bears a lot of similarity to the Apple iPhone 5 in the design department, it is nothing compared to the HTC One which has almost seemingly been moulded on Apple’s popular handset. A new render of the device has emerged, showing just how similar the two devices look – not that its a bad thing of course as the HTC One looks absolutely lovely.

Whether you are a fan of Apple or not, there’s no denying that the iPhone 5 is a lovely device to look at from a design point of view. It appears that HTC has taken the popularity for the dual-layered effect on board, as where Apple has included the layered effect on the back of their iPhone 5, HTC may be opting to showcase a similar design on the front of the HTC One, if the latest image of the device is proved to be legitimate.

The guys over at UnwiredView have uploaded an image, which claims to be a real look at the black version of the HTC One. Notice that the top and bottom panels are reminiscent of the iPhone 5 to say the least, while we also get another decent look at those front speaker grills as well which should provide adequate sound quality with the Beats Audio integration.

Also take note that there appears to be only just two capacitive touch buttons on the display screen – a back key and a home key rather than the traditional three that we usually see on another Android handsets. If this really is the final design of the device formally known as the HTC M7, then we would be very happy indeed as it looks great.

We just have hours to go until HTC’s official event gets under way so we will all find out the answers soon. Hopefully the company gives some solid availability and pricing information so consumers in the UK and US can find out exactly when they can buy one.

What are your opinions on the iPhone 5 style design – do you agree with us that it looks great?
