HTC One Verizon new evidence suggests release

HTC and Verizon are continuing to keep consumers guessing on the arrival of the highly anticipated HTC One smartphone on Verizon’s network. We didn’t see the device at Verizon’s recent CTIA showing, but we do have new evidence which suggests that the device is still on course for a release in the near future.

Those who previously waited for Verizon to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, will know too well how long Verizon can make consumers wait for a highly-sought after product. Even then though it is a little confusing on why the HTC One remains available on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, but not Verizon’s network.

With that in mind, feast your eyes on the juicy image above courtesy of Slashgear, which appears to capture a HTC One listing within Verizon’s internal database. Along with the visual sighting of the HTC One, we also hear that an expected release is now likely to happen during “early Summer”, which could suggest a June release.

Since publication of that image, it’s interesting to note that the source has since been deleted. Is this an indication that the information is legitimate, or in fact inaccurate? Let’s hope it is the former in this case as we have gone long enough with complete silence from HTC and Verizon.

When the device does finally arrive, we would also hope to see some Verizon bonuses thrown in there as well to sweeten the deal – perhaps an exclusive color for example that isn’t available via Sprint, AT&T or T-Mobile. If the Verizon HTC One is still on your radar, let us know how long you are willing to put up with the silence from Big Red.
