HTC One Red US release looks unlikely

While Verizon customers have had some very good news recently with the availability of a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S4, it’s now time to bring some rare joy over to our readers in the UK. If you liked the look of the stylish HTC One but have yet to make a purchase, now may be the time to do so.

HTC has announced that UK consumers are going to be getting their very own exclusive color of the HTC One. Popular high street retailer Phones4U will soon be offering the HTC One in ‘Glamour Red’, firmly ensuring that you stand out from the crowd with a complete red paint job for one of the best handsets of the year so far.

HTC has sent out an official press render of the new color in question and we have to say that we want to get our hands on one asap. It looks like consumers in the UK will have to wait until July for this opportunity, but that’s nowhere near as bad as the pending release status for everyone else in the US.

At the moment, there is no indication whatsoever that the Glamour Red HTC One will ever release in the US, which could be deemed as sweet justice in the way, seeing as the UK usually ends up with the short stick each time when it comes to exclusive smartphone colors.

Prices should remain the same and so should the hardware. That means you’ll still be getting a device with some of the juiciest features on the market, such as a 4.7-inch display, a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM to play around with and a stunning Ultrapixel camera with the ability to shoot 1080p HD video footage.

Some of you may think the complete red paint job is a little over the top, but we always enjoy seeing more colorful versions of popular smartphones other than the traditional black and white – surely some of you are getting bored with that now? Let us know if you plan to pick this up from Phones4U in July. Are any of you in the US even considering an import to get your hands on one of these?
