The HTC One Max is one of those elusive devices that we know is coming, but we do not know when and what those finalized specs will be. There are many reasons why we are being kept waiting, and one of the more plausible reasons could be to do with the announcement of HTC making use of the Snapdragon 800 processor in the larger handset?
However, there is a fear that if they wait too long then the perfect HTC One Max launch opportunity would have been missed. This is about to happen right now because the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is being released very soon. Having said that, HTC is not afraid to go up against a flagship Samsung device because they already did this earlier this year and held its own.
We had expected to learn the HTC One Max release date details at IFA, but there was nothing, which we do find very strange. We have already seen several teaser photos, but nothing official as yet. This means for those of you hoping to see a HTC One Max vs. Galaxy Note 3 and Xperia Z1 then you will have to wait a little longer.
Some of the latest HTC One Max images courtesy of Weibo not only show the larger handset in all its glory, but also screens of the software as well. This does give us hope of an imminent release, and if this is the case then it will be interesting to see if there will be a few color options, or just the silver to begin with?
HTC One Max with fingerprint scanner — While there has been speculation that the reason for the delay of its release is due to its CPU, a recent image makes us wonder if it is because of the addition of a fingerprint reader, which can be seen to the rear just below the camera sensor?
If this is in fact the case, then this could not only show us an alternative to the technology used on the iPhone 5S, but also one-up its rival, the Note 3.
