HTC One Android 4.4 Kitkat review after update

We have some good news for those of you with a HTC One handset. It should have been a very happy Thanksgiving weekend for a lot of you, as HTC are now in the midst of a rollout for the HTC One Android 4.4 Kitkat update. Most of you should have the update already, but if not HTC may just have granted you an update through this week.

The Android 4.4 Kitkat update initially went live for those with a HTC One developer edition. HTC then opened the gates to those with Google’s version of the device, before eventually allowing everyone else to join in on the fun.

As far as we’re aware, unlocked models will get priority, so you may still be waiting if you are attached to a HTC One carrier version – specifically those waiting for an HTC One Android 4.4 update on Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile.

For those that do have it though, your initial thoughts after that lovely boot up animation could be that there is not much change compared to Android 4.3. We have picked out a couple of videos for you to check out, one of which is a brief Android 4.4 Kitkat review from one user who has already updated his HTC One over the weekend.

Sense UI fans will also be pleased to know that Android 4.4 Kitkat will be running alongside Sense 5.5, so let us know what you think of that combination.

Do you have Kitkat on the HTC One yet, or are you still waiting?
