HTC Mondrian: First Windows Phone 7 ROM

We have seen a number of photos and videos of handsets using Windows Phone 7, but we want to see something more than this. We now have for you the first ROM smartphone running the upcoming mobile OS — the HTC Mondrian. This is the first that we have heard of the handset and is strange to have a HTC handset that is not running Android OS.

XDAdevelopers have learned this information from a 911sniper member, this news is still new so not a lot is known — but it is certainly a big deal. We are certain that people will now start to learn all they can about HTC Mondrian, although not certain how much they can found out just yet?

It is great to know that developers are now gearing up for the release of the first Windows Phone 7 smartphone — even better that it will be built by HTC. This company has been criticized in the past for their handset build quality, but you only have to look at the DROID Incredible and the EVO 4G to know that they have now upped their game.

As we said, we have no other news on this, but will keep you informed once we know more.
