An article on wireless goodness is reporting that Best Buy have announced the device will be ready to ship beginning this coming Sunday, May 22. The device had not got an official release date until this news from Best Buy, and is priced at $500.

The first tablet PC from HTC has managed to create quite a lot of interest with its digital stylus. This is an optional extra believed to cost around $80. The version available from Best Buy is the Wi-Fi only model with 16GB of internal storage, there is no news yet about a 3G version becoming available.

HTCs new tablet comes running Android 2.4 Gingerbread, but is thought to be getting an upgrade to Android 3.0 at a later date. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera and a single core 1.5GHz processor. There is also Bluetooth, microSD, and GPS, but you won’t find a flash on the unit.
