HTC EVO 4G HDMI Dock at Best Buy

The HTC EVO 4G will soon be available via Sprint and Best Buy and it will not be long before accessories for the latest Android smartphone follow. However, one accessory that we will not see in a hurry is a Micro HDMI cable as we all know how hard they are to come by. Thankfully Best Buy has another solution — a HDMI Dock.

The HTC EVO 4G HDMI Dock will be 1.4 standard and will be one of the first handsets to use the new standard. It is thought that HDMI 1.4 will be fully backward compatible, but according to Taylor Wimberly from Android and Me there have been a few issues in early testing.

One of those issues was when you connect the EVO 4G to a TV it only recognized the signal as 480p and not the Full HD 1080p. Also the Sprint TV app refused to play — we just hope that this was a minor bug and has now been rectified.

We are not certain of a specific date as to when Best Buy will sell the HTC EVO 4G HDMI dock or its price, once we know we will inform you.
