We have some good news for those of you with a rooted HTC EVO 4G handset, as we can confirm that an update to Android 2.2 Froyo is available to you. We have the download links and a full set of instructions for you to follow.
As reported from Phandroid, the update has once again been provided by those cunning guys over at the XDA-Developer Forums. It was only a matter of time until the official Froyo update for the EVO 4G was compromised, so I bet there are a lot of owners who cant wait to try this out.
It is worth pointing out, that the 2.2 Froyo update for rooted handsets, is a little more complex than the root method needed for Android 2.1 Eclair. But as long as you follow the steps provided by the XDA Forum here, you should be fine.
For those of you willing to try this out, let us know how you get on. Does Froyo work fine for you? Download links and tutorial here.
