HTC EVO 3D vs. Nintendo 3DS: Usability

Here is some news for those of you who own a Nintendo 3DS and were a little disappointed with the 3D feature. It appears HTC are about to release a phone called the EVO 3D that is capable of filming and playing 3D content thanks to its dual 5MP camera and display.

Both the HTC EVO 3D and Nintendo 3DS use glasses free 3D so which one has the best usability? When it comes to playing on the 3DS the 3D effect works fine as long as you have the display square to your face and at least about 12” away and very still.

These limitations seem standard with this type of 3D technology and according to the article at GottaBeMobile the EVO 3D looks to have the exact same limits. The 3D games that it will feature are said to get the most out of the 3D experience in comparison to watching 3D movies on it.

3D technology aside the HTC EVO 3D is said to have a qHD 4.3” display that ‘delivers an amazing quality experience in 2D mode as well.’ This is an advantage that the 3DS was not able to rely on when it came to disappointed users.
