HTC EVO 3D price revealed before release, 2011 title contender

Earlier on we informed you about some pre-order information for the highly sought after HTC EVO 3D handset on Sprint, but now we have even more good news for you. Leaked prices have now been revealed for the 3D smartphone and you’ll be delighted to hear that pricing is very reasonable indeed.

There were fears that HTC and Sprint may demand a higher than usual price for this handset considering it’s 3D hardware capabilities, but they have done the right thing and kept this handset at the normal price range.

According to Phonedog, a leaked RadioShack flyer has confirmed a price of $199 for the HTC EVO 3D on a two-year contract with Sprint. The off-contract price has also been outed as well, as it looks as if buyers will have to part with $499 to take one home – which sounds pretty reasonable to us.

That $199 contract price is excellent too, as don’t forget the HTC EVO 3D is coming with some serious hardware grunt, such as a 1GB of RAM, a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, two 3D cameras, a 3D display, HTC Sense 3.0 and also Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

It may be pretty early to make such bold predictions, but we have a strong feeling that the HTC EVO 3D is going to end up as one of the contenders for best smartphone of 2011. The Droid Bionic or even iPhone 5 may have something to say about that, but the EVO 3D is going to be the best Android handset so far when it comes out this Summer.
