We have some good news for those of you with an HTC Droid Eris handset, as some leaked internal documents have revealed that the device is in line for an OTA update from Verizon soon.
As reported from Phandroid, the information on the update has come to us courtesy of Droid-Life, who seem to be becoming quite infamous for their Droid leaks now.
As for the update, this isn’t an update to Android 2.2 Froyo as most of you have been praying for, but it is a pretty significant OTA update that will add some more life to your aging handset.
New features include improved audio, enhanced speed dial, Jabra Bluetooth headset support, more Exchange options and Gmail contact syncing.
This update is scheduled to land on July 16th – this Friday. Let us know your thoughts on this, more information over at Phandroid.
