HTC Desire HD Spotted: EVO 4G Similarities

A new handset has been spotted on the Internet running Android 2.2 update, but what could this Froyo handset be? Well according to Uwants Forum, it is the upcoming HTC Desire HD, and you can certainly see a few EVO 4G similarities, such as that huge 4.3-inch screen.

Sean Hollister from Engadget points out that if this is the Desire HD, then it will not come with that front-facing camera that the EVO has. We have to wonder why HTC would want to launch a handset that it like the EVO? We are certain to find out over the next few days when more details come out.

A recent post written by Alan Ng managed to locate some rumored specs of the device, and yes, most of them look to be the same as Sprint’s first 4G handset. There is that 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, 4GB internal memory, 8-megapixel camera and HD 720p video recording.

We should expect to see the HTC Desire HD released in October, we just hope that they will be able to source more displays by then. We do not know if this new handset will offer 4G technology and what carrier will be supplying them.
